Hoodie found himself in the shelter due to no fault of his own. 100% human failure and irresponsible pet owners were responsible for his scary experience. We really won't dwell too much on his past because his here and now is what matters. We're grateful his owner surrendered him to the shelter, so he has an opportunity to find a loving forever home. When we saw and heard about Hoodie at the shelter, we just knew we had to help. He was on the 72 hour list as of April 14th which put him at risk for euthanasia any day. Just another overlooked black dog sitting at an overcrowded shelter waiting for someone to come by and notice him. On his intake exam at the shelter, he received the highest possible behavior score and was noted as being a friendly, easy to handle, sweet puppy. During his behavior assessment and playgroups, he was noted as being a sweet, social dog. Approached other dogs in the playgroup in a friendly way. He was said to have a dainty play style. He sought out affection from the handlers. The gentleman that transported Hoodie for us from the Downey shelter to the boarding facility in Action said he road very nicely in the car. Once they started driving, Hoodie laid down for the duration of the ride. The transporter also had nothing but great things to say about Hoodie.
