Ron is a male, adult Labrador retriever mix with a beautiful black coat and a medium build, currently cared for at The Animal Pad. He is house trained, friendly with dogs, and has been neutered, with his vaccinations up to date. Ron has special needs, including Cerebellar Hypoplasia, Meningoencephalitis (with ongoing treatment), a possible seizure disorder, and partial blindness, so he requires a home able to support his unique medical care and routine.

About Ron

Click apply to start the adoption process. Say hello to your magical new sidekick! Ron is a loyal, loving 4-year-old Labrador retriever mix who weighs 36 pounds and is ready to be your constant companion. Having been rescued from a very difficult situation, he's now hoping to find a forever family who can give him warmth, stability, and a little everyday magic. Although Ron is facing a few health challenges—including Cerebellar Hypoplasia, Meningoencephalitis (currently undergoing chemotherapy), a possible seizure disorder, partial blindness, and weak hind legs—he’s a gentle soul with an easy-going personality who just wants to be loved. Ron requires a foster-to-adopt home that can provide him with consistency and routines, as he thrives in a structured environment. Medical care is an ongoing part of his life, including daily medications, and he cannot receive vaccines or oral flea/tick preventatives at this time. Despite these needs, Ron gets along well with other dogs, adapts well to crate, bathroom, and leash routines, and adores squeaky toys and mealtime. He may need a little time and patience to acclimate, but he repays that kindness with sweetness and determination. If you're ready for a devoted companion who will bring joy and heart to your home, Ron would love to meet you and start his new chapter. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
