Meet Thing 2, the fabulous one-year-old Labrador Retriever mix who’s ready to leap straight into the hearts of his forever family! 🎉 This dashing dog, weighing in at 48 pounds, is a proud member of the famous Cat in the Hat litter, rescued from a humble beginning in Mexico during the Thanksgiving holiday. 🦃 Thing 2 is a loyal companion with a heart full of love, but he’s got a bit of a cautious side—think of him as the introverted friend who doesn’t let just anyone in. Once trust is established, however, you’ll see just how deeply he loves! 🥰 He’s all about those good times—playing with dog pals, soaking up the sun in the backyard, cuddling with his favorite humans, and, of course, chasing after those pesky lizards! 🦎 But, oh, the transformation this sweet pup has been through! After joining TAP, things got a little bumpy as he adjusted to all the changes in his life. This brave boy has faced his nervousness head-on, and while he does take daily Prozac to help manage his anxiety, he has blossomed under training. With a fantastic knack for learning, he has already aced crate-training, potty-training, and leash-training. And let’s not forget—those tasty treats are his kryptonite! 🥳 He’ll do almost anything for a snack, making his training journey not only effective but also fun! Now, Thing 2 is looking for that special human who has experience with anxious dogs. Someone who can provide a calm, loving environment where he can flourish. 🏡 Ideally, he would love to share his space with a confident and friendly doggie sibling to help him come out of his shell—kitties and children, however, might be a bit too much for him at this time. 💙 If you can provide the love and patience he needs, you will unlock the incredible bond of trust that will result in a lifelong friendship!
