About Mocha

Click apply to start the adoption process. A steaming cup of Mocha is guaranteed to brighten your day! Meet Mocha, a delightful chocolate Lab mix, around 2.5 years old and weighing about 65 lbs. Now a recently spayed female, she’s overcome a tough start, having been found tied to a tree in Chula Vista, pregnant and alone. Thanks to her dedicated foster care, her puppies are thriving, and now it’s Mocha’s turn to capture hearts! She is fully house, crate, and leash trained and is continuing to work on her reactivity to other dogs and skateboards while on leash. Mocha can stay in her crate alone at home, showing her adaptability and independence. Though her past has made her a bit shy, Mocha blossoms into a loving, extra-sweet companion once you gain her trust. She may be timid around strangers, but given time, she is affectionate and cuddly, surprising everyone with her intelligence. She is selective with dog friends and does best with slow introductions, but she has lived with kids in previous foster homes. Mocha’s passion for fetch—especially at the beach—and long walks is clear: ball is truly life for her! Mocha is looking for a patient, understanding family who can offer her time to decompress and adjust. Once she feels safe, she rewards you with cuddles and companionship. Mocha’s ideal match is an active household ready for daily outdoor adventures and plenty of playtime. If you want a sweet, loyal friend who just needs a little patience to shine, Mocha is ready for her forever home. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
