Meet Lucy While wrapping up a TNR site in Artesia, MS, rescuer Kathy noticed a beautiful adult cat lingering in a nearby yard. After speaking with the homeowner, she learned that Lucy—and several others—had been left behind when an elderly caregiver had to move away for her own care. Lucy had been doing her best to survive, even raising litters along the way, but that day marked a turning point. Kathy stepped in, brought her to safety, and started her journey toward a better life. Despite everything she's been through, Lucy is incredibly social and has a gentle, loving nature. She enjoys human companionship and even does well with children. While dogs are still an unknown, she gets along nicely with other cats and would also be perfectly content as your one-and-only.
