About Harper

Animal Information: Harper is an estimated 2 year 47lb spayed female Shepherd mix who was a stray intake to the high kill Caddo Parish shelter in Shreveport Louisiana. Our rescue partner Tail Lights advocated for her transfer as a shelter favorite who has been used for temp testing for weeks due to her social and easy-going personality. She is social and friendly with all humans, and dogs male and female, big and small. We are looking forward to getting to know this happy beautiful girl with the best eyeliner in foster care. Foster Profile: Harper is such a kind-natured sweetheart is always ready to spend quality time with you — whether that’s going on a long walk, watching over you while you work (or study), or just quietly relaxing at home while binge-watching a show. Not to mention, she’s a great balance of affectionate and good at respecting your boundaries and house rules. So far, she knows basic commands like sit, off, and wait, and is quite a fast learner with impressive recall. Although she’s still working on completely getting out of her timid shell, she’s shown openness to meeting new people (especially little kids who ask to approach her!) and other dogs, and has never shown aggression or hostility. Despite her mostly shy nature, though, she’s proven herself to be a very alert gal and would love to be someone’s bff. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166).
