About Chica
Chica has waited four long years for a foster or forever home, and she’s overdue for a family of her own. This Shepherd/Border Collie mix tips the scale at 50-55 lbs and is about five years old. Chica is active and thrives with people who like walks or getting out into the world. Give her a fenced yard and she’ll use it, but she also loves downtime indoors with her people. She has some basic training—she knows how to shake and shows an eager-to-please streak. Chica can be reactive on leash toward other dogs, so she’ll need an adopter with experience handling or willingness to work with her. With structure and steady training, she’s been making progress already. She’s up to date on shots, microchipped, and spayed. Chica will be happiest with someone who understands her, helps her stay active, and can offer patience and consistency. She is still working on house training and will need continued support.
