About Mary Jo

Mary Jo is at our shelter. Please submit an application from our website or just come in to meet her during open hours! Scroll through her pictures to see her cute video content! Mary Jo has a lot going for her but one thing that you may notice right away is that Mary Jo has the BEST ears! They are perfect little triangles that fold over right on top of her head, it is simply too cute! Mary Jo originally came to us in February with her brother, Barney, and both were adopted into separate homes. Sadly, Mary Jo recently wound up back in our care, which was a surprise to us all! Mary Jo's adopters decided they did not want her any more and threw her out of their car in front of a local fire department. Thankfully, local police arrived on the scene and well, that is a separate issue. We are so glad Mary Jo is safe and sound. The police officers even remarked on what a sweet and friendly puppy she is, and we were glad to see that despite the terrible ordeal she had been through, her delightful and sunny nature was unchanged. It seemed to us that Mary Jo was happy to be back! She immediately jumped back into playgroup, and made a ton of new friends. Mary Jo loves other dogs so much that she dissolves into full body wiggles when she meets another dog! She loves to lick their mouths in a show of devotion! She is the cutest. Since she was brought back to us during an unseasonably warm week, we broke out the baby pool and lo and behold Mary Jo jumped right into that too! Just as we remembered, Mary Jo is still all about the food. She loves enrichment puzzles and working to get all the yummy treats. Her food motivation will be great for working on puppy training! More than food, though, Mary Jo loves cuddles and attention from humans. (We can only imagine how much of that love she showed to her adopters, only to have them literally toss her aside. We don't deserve dogs!) Mary Jo is all around a wonderful pup that is going to make someone so happy. We know her next home will cherish her. Mary Jo's adoption fee is $450. This animal is spayed, and is up to date on core vaccines. Mary Jo will need a Heartworm test between 6-7 months of age.
