At just about 6 months old, Karma has already proven she's one tough pup. She was brought in to DupAge County Animal Control as a stray, and sadly quickly became symptomatic for Parvovirus. An organization pulled her so that she would not be euthanized there, and sponsored her treatment. She recovered in a foster home, and is now the picture of health! As a Parvovirus survivor, she's shown her resilience and strength. Now it is time for her to leave the past behind and start her next chapter of hopefully being spoiled rotten by a loving adopter! Karma is everything you'd expect from a pup-playful, curious, and always ready for fun! She loves toys, games, and soaking up attention from her people. Whether she's bouncing around during playtime or snuggling up after a busy day, Karma's sweet nature shines through. She loves playing with the other dogs at the shelter, especially her bestie and kennel roomie, Philber! Like any young pup, Karma will benefit from positive reinforcement training to help her grow into the best version of herself. With a little patience and guidance, she's sure to blossom into a wonderful lifelong companion. She is already most of the way there. Karma walks really well on leash with her harness, and loves play time and cuddle time alike. Even though she is a "bigger" puppy, she doesn't throw her weight around and is so gentle with her smaller friends. She likes to wrestle a bit but she is not a super rough and rowdy player. She is a great balance of tomboy and princess! Karma's journey hasn't been easy, but she hasn't let that dim her spirit one bit. Now she's ready for a forever home where she can be loved, continue learning, and just be a puppy.
