This bonded pair of Labrador Retriever/lab mix adults, with beautiful white, cream, and fawn coats of medium length, are living at Almost Home Dog Rescue NC. Both are male, medium-sized, house trained, and are up to date on vaccinations. They have been spayed/neutered. These sweethearts are looking for a calm, patient family to help them continue their journey.

Having spent much of their early lives outdoors with minimal human interaction, these two have shown incredible resilience as they learn to trust and enjoy the comforts of being part of a family. Watching their courageous journey toward feeling safe and loved has been truly rewarding. Feller is a bit shy at first, but as he settles in, his sweet, affectionate nature and playful personality shine through, especially when his favorite bacon or beef treats are on hand. He’s building confidence each day and loves to interact calmly with other dogs. Dixie is a 1-year-old, 35-pound Lab mix whose expressive eyes and quiet courage are irresistible. She’s learning how wonderful the world can be, enjoying treats, discovering toys, and becoming a pro at leash walking by your side. Though sometimes unsure in new situations, Dixie continually blossoms with support from her person—and from Feller. Their bond is truly the heart of their story; Dixie thrives with a stable, confident friend, and Feller brings her the comfort she needs to grow further. They must be adopted together to preserve the secure foundation they share. Both are house-trained, crate-trained, vaccinated, and microchipped. They do wonderfully with cats and other dogs (with proper introductions).
