About Rowdy

Rowdy has been part of his family since 2019, and you’d never guess he’s about 10—he bounces around with more energy than most young dogs. At around 60 lbs, this Boxer/Labrador mix is in excellent health, with up-to-date vaccines and a neutered status. He loves three things: sprinting around a yard, relaxing on the couch with his people, and sharing goofy moments. Rowdy thrives on routines and low-key environments. He’s house-trained, leash-trained, crate-trained, and ready to please. Indoors, he’s often quiet but protective, announcing visitors with a solid bark. He gets along well with cats and has handled group boarding, but can be a bit selective with new dogs out in public. Big, sudden surprises aren’t his thing—he’s startled by unexpected handling and has issued the occasional warning snap; for this reason, Rowdy isn’t suitable for households with young children. His ideal setup is an adult-only or older teen home where his boundaries are respected. Rowdy would love space to run, a fenced yard, and an adopter who appreciates a dog with energy, heart, and loyalty in equal measure. He’s open and loving once he trusts you and will reward patience with lots of affection. Rowdy is located in Horse Shoe, NC (just outside Greenville, SC), and adopters should be local to that area for a home check. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
