About Onyx

Meet Onyx, a cat who brings humor and warmth to any room. She’s playful and loving, with a spirited, silly streak that shows when she enthusiastically headbutts your chair legs—she’d probably do well with a tiny hard hat. If you picture Onyx as an engineer of head butts and belly flops, you won’t be far off. She’s charming and self-assured; you’ll want to scoop her up just to see her contentedly purr and roll around. Onyx’s affection comes with a little quirk: she doesn’t like a hand coming straight for her head and will give a playful swipe. Sneak up gently, though, and she melts under your touch, happy to be held and petted. Her personality is simple to manage for anyone with a bit of cat experience. She’s goofy, sweet, enjoys the company of other cats, and is wild for wand toys. A back scratcher brings out the purrs, and she especially loves being gently picked up from behind. Onyx is about 3.5 years old and has had her share of tough times, but she overcomes it with an open heart, always eager to show gratitude for love and safety. She’s spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, and has tested negative for FIV and FeLV. If you’re looking for a silly and complex companion, Swipey (Onyx) could be the one.
