Meet Honey. She’s a small, tricolor beagle with a calm, resilient spirit who’s already overcome more than her share. On New Year's Day, Honey was hit by a car—some kind strangers rushed her to safety and made sure she received immediate vet care. She spent a month resting in a crate at the clinic, healing, before joining one of the rescue’s foster homes in early February. Since arriving in foster, Honey has been coping with a leg and hip injury, and her care team remains focused on finding the best path forward for her fractured limb. At about 7 years old, Honey has been a model of patience during recovery—gentle and sweet, with a temperament that draws you in. She currently weighs around 24.8 pounds and, despite the injury, tested negative on her 4DX screening. Her injury will require ongoing attention, and the rescue will update her profile as her treatment plan becomes clearer. For now, Honey is comfortable, well-cared-for, and soaking up affection as she heals. The rescue cannot hold dogs for adoption holds due to scheduling, so adopters should be ready to welcome Honey home when the time is right.
