She came from a shelter in Crowley, Louisiana after her previous owner could no longer keep her, but she's made a seamless adjustment. Fully housebroken, leash trained, and crate trained, Lady has already learned the basics around the house. She's active and loves to play—whether it's with other dogs her size, chasing people outside, or rolling over for a brushing. She knows "sit" and "shake" and is working on "heel," always eager for treats, with a special fondness for hot dogs and bacon. Lady gets along well with bigger dogs, and she enjoys canine companionship. She tends to bark at strangers from the window, but once they’re inside, she’s friendly and welcoming. For families, Lady does best with kids over 7, mostly because she’s a big dog who hasn’t figured out her size. She likes to eat on her own in peace and takes a quirky joy in sliding her food bowl around with her nose. Her ideal home would have a secure six-foot fence, a large yard, and another dog for her to play with—though leash walks and plenty of time with people work too.
