About River in KY

Meet River, a handsome Great Pyrenees with a joyful spirit and a big heart. He thrives on playtime with other dogs, finding joy in games of chase and playful wrestling on the ground. River is also a fan of toys, tossing ropes and investigating chew bones, and he generously shares his treasures with friends. While he loves playing, River's sweetest trait is his affectionate nature. He follows you from room to room, eager to lean in for attention and stay close. With a passion for walks, car rides, and adventures, he’s the perfect companion to bring along for new experiences. River enjoys being brushed and is quite cooperative during nail trims. Although he may not have lived indoors before, he’s adapted quickly, keeping his space clean and being comfortable in a crate. His leash manners are improving, and he appreciates gentle reminders. Currently working toward a healthy weight, River might be selective about meals, so a family willing to help him explore new foods would be ideal. He could thrive with a canine companion or as an only dog, given regular playtime with pals. River shows gentle curiosity towards cats and quickly loses interest, making him a good candidate for sharing a home with one. Due to his larger size and lack of awareness of it, older children are recommended. Like many Great Pyrenees, he does have a guardian bark that alerts his family to anything new approaching. River would do best with an owner experienced with big dogs, a securely fenced yard, and a patient heart. In return, he promises loyal companionship and plenty of cheerful tail wags. Could River be your loving shadow and adventure buddy? What are you waiting for? Apply today!
