About Yeti in SC

Yeti is a young Great Pyrenees packed with energy and a big heart. He’s sweet-natured, playful outdoors, and happiest when digging, running, barking at cars, or showing off his Pyr Paw. His medium-length coat is soft and almost always ready for a brush, ear scratch, or a good belly rub—he loves attention and occasionally nibbles to ask for more. Yeti is housebroken and crate trained. He walks well on leash but may pull a little when there’s traffic, so he’s best suited for quieter neighborhoods. He’s mastered basic cues—sit and down—and is working on stay and paw/shake. Yeti gets along wonderfully with other dogs and is gentle with cats, even content to play with them. He’s anxious and excited around new people, especially men, but settles in better with female visitors. He thrives with an active person or family, especially one that has a secure yard with a 5-foot fence and isn’t put off by barking or a little creative digging. He needs adopters who are patient and understand the big Pyr personality, preferably with another active dog or children. Yeti’s a foodie who loves cheese, bread, and even pasta. Questions about Yeti in SC

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Yeti, a Great Pyrenees, is best suited for homes with plenty of space—ideally suburban or rural settings where he can have a secure yard to roam. Apartments and densely populated neighborhoods tend to be too confining for this breed’s natural instincts.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

Great Pyrenees like Yeti need a large, securely fenced outdoor area. They thrive when they have space to patrol, dig, and exercise freely—small yards or unfenced spaces are not enough for this breed.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Yeti and most Great Pyrenees are known for being gentle and protective, making them a solid option for families with children. Positive, supervised interactions help everyone adjust well.
