About Macho
Macho will be at our St. Pawtrick's Day Meet & Greet at the Refinery Hotel on March 14 from 12–3 PM. Please note that there will be no on-site adoptions at the event, and all adoption applications will be reviewed and processed afterward. Macho is a 12- 14-year-old, 6.5 pound male chihuahua mix from Mexico! Macho is a loving and sweet pup who is sprightly for his older age! He has adjusted very well during his time in the Brooklyn. Macho enjoys cuddling in your lap, walks and playing with toys. Macho is doing very well walking right next to you, easily, on the leash and is trained to go to the bathroom outside! He also enjoys sleeping in his crate at night. His forever family will need to continue working with Macho to reinforce and advance the progress he's been making. Macho has done well in his crate during the day, though he may cry a little when you leave! He loves to be cozy with his foster family and can often be found with his favorite stuffed toy, especially if it's one stolen from his foster sister! Macho is looking for a quiet family, but he appreciates active moments. You might need to introduce the dogs slowly, but he would do best with another small dog at home. It's unclear how Macho gets along with children since there are none in his foster home. However, he has been friendly with kids he met on walks! Vaccinated for Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella. Neutered and microchipped. Tested for vector-borne illnesses. Current on flea, tick, and heart worm prevention. To apply to foster/foster-to-adopt to adopt Macho, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for a foster application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the dog into our rescue. Questions: adopt@waggytailrescue.org
