About Rosalia

Rosalia is a two-year-old, 23-pound female mix from Tijuana! She has had a massive glow up since her time on the streets as an injured stay and is now taking the city by storm! She has adjusted very well during her time with her foster family. She is fully house-trained and doing well learning “sit” and other commands. She enjoys her walks and is working on her leash skills. Rosalia is a very sweet girl who loves cuddles, belly rubs and will follow you through the house with a calm watchful eye. She'll give you lots of kisses if you let her! She enjoys playtime but also knows when it's time to settle down and is proving to be a great work-from-home companion. She is generally quiet and has only barked when surprised by new people in the home. If crated during the day, Rosalia will settle down after a few minutes. She also seeks out her crate as a safe and cozy space to snooze. She sleeps soundly in her crate through the night. Her ideal forever family is one who is ready to reinforce all the good progress shes made with housebreaking and crate training through consistency and routine. Rosalia would do well in a medium-active family. She enjoys playing with other dogs but would also be fine as a solo dog with plenty enrichment. Rosalia would be fine in a home with children who understand and respect dog body langauge. Since she sometimes jumps when playing a home with children under 5 would not be the best fit. Rosalia has not lived with cats before but has shown prey drive outside towards small animals and should be in a home without cats. Vaccinated for Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella. Neutered and microchipped. Tested for vector-borne illnesses. Current on flea, tick, and heart worm prevention. To apply to adopt Rosalia, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for a foster application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies.
