About Lucy In Md
I’m Lucy, one of the five puppies from the beloved Charlie Brown Christmas Litter. I like to say they saved the best for last - and yes, that was me. I made my grand entrance at 1:34 a.m., fashionably late and ready to take on the world. I’m super smart, confident, and fearless. At just 8 weeks old, I charged straight down the deck stairs - no hesitation, no fear - because if the big dogs were doing it, I was doing it too. Don’t let my sweet face or puppy looks fool you; I’m often right in the middle of the wrestling matches and zoomie races, holding my own every step of the way. I love ALL dogs, no matter their size, I even try to play with the resident 165‑pound Great Pyrenees. I told you - I’m fearless. If you’re having a bad day, I’ve got you covered. I’m a certified kissing machine, always ready to smother my people with puppy kisses and affection. My favorite activities include zoomie racing, patrolling the yard like it’s my job, and “helping” in the garden. At night, I sleep quietly in a crate with my siblings, and I’m working on my house manners. I’m smart, eager, and ready to learn with a family who will guide me as I grow into the amazing dog I’m meant to be. I need a home with a big, 5-foot fenced yard and a big brother to run, patrol, and play with and a family who understands and appreciates confident, giant‑breed puppies. So if you’re looking for a brave little pup with a big personality, a whole lot of kisses, and a giant future ahead of her, I think we might be meant to find each other. I’m ready to love hard, play big, and grow up by your side. Love, Lucy. NYS Registered Rescue # RR102 NGPR dogs are in foster homes at the location specified on their full listing. Please fill out the application on our website and we will contact you. HTTPS://NATIONALPYR.ORG/ADOPTION-APPLICATION/ Due to the high level of interest we can't respond to emails unless an application has been submitted. Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature (www.nationalpyr.org/know-the-breed) and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority. Secure VISIBLE fencing is required; invisible fencing WILL NOT contain this breed.
