Meet Max! Born in November 2025, he is a charming little mixed-breed mystery with the brains of a Jack Russell and the heart of a Lab. Our best guess is Jack Russell/Lab... with a sprinkle of "who knows what else," but whatever the recipe is, it worked. Max is a smart, sweet boy who loves being part of the action but also knows how to relax. He's great with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends to hang out with. He's also respectful around cats, which is a rare talent in the dog world and deserves some appreciation. This handsome guy is a good eater (no picky nonsense here) and is currently learning his potty commands like the clever little overachiever he is. With that Jack Russell brain, he picks things up quickly and enjoys having a routine. When the day winds down, Max is perfectly happy to kick back and watch TV with his people or spend some quiet time relaxing in his kennel. He's got a great balance of playful energy and calm companionship. If you're looking for a smart, affectionate dog who gets along with everyone and is happy to be part of the family, Max might just be your guy. The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.
