About Lucy Pie
Meet Lucy Pie Born around mid April 2025, Lucy Pie is a hound mix with the sweetest personality and a heart full of love! At around 20lbs, she's the perfect size to grow into a medium pup and is ready to bring endless joy to her forever family. Lucy Pie's story is as special as she is. A kind family with five young kids spotted her wandering the streets near Lafayette, called her into their driveway, and kept her safe until a rescue could step in. No one ever came looking, so now Lucy Pie is officially ready to find her happily ever after. She's a playful puppy who is still learning the ropes-like not jumping or giving excited little nibbles when she's happy-but she's smart, eager to please, and picking things up quickly with positive reinforcement. She's working on her house training and doing so well! Lucy Pie is: Kid-friendly (she lights up around little ones!) Dog-friendly (would love a canine buddy to romp with) Cat-friendly with a note: she likes to play chase, so a confident, dog-savvy cat would be best. Her dream home? One with kids to adore, a secure yard to explore, another pup to play with (bonus points!), and a family committed to giving her exercise, guidance, and love. Lucy Pie has so much potential and is ready to be someone's best friend for life. Could that be you? All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. For more on this, or for additional information, including the adoption process and our adoption fee scale for all our adoptable pets (including an explanation about Benefactor Dogs), please see our FAQs page: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/faq Any breed labels used by Take Paws Rescue, its employees/volunteers, or on vet records provided cannot be guaranteed. Breed labels are given based on information obtained during intake and/or best guesses based on appearance and/or temperament of the dogs and Take Paws Rescue gives no assurance to the accuracy of these labels. Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as our website, Chewy, Pet Finder, and others. These are in no way a guarantee. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed. ***Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters across the South, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures.
