Gracie is a chocolate Lab mix with a heart as big as her soft brown eyes. A senior, estimated to be about 12 years old, and at 60 pounds, she is the perfect blend of sturdy and snugly, a seasoned lady who has mastered the fine art of companionship. Currently being fostered in Chicago alongside two little dogs, Gracie fits in beautifully. She does her business outside like the polite house guest she is, sleeps soundly in her own bed at night, and can be trusted un-crated when left alone. She is calm in the car, making her an excellent co-pilot for errands or road trips. Gracie adores people of all sizes. She is wonderful with kids and greets everyone she meets with gentle warmth. Her favorite activities include being petted, enjoying a good meal, crunching on ice cubes, and romping in the snow like a puppy who forgot she has a double-digit birthday. If you engage her, she will happily play with toys and show off her playful side. This sweet girl is not looking for chaos or adventure. She is looking for comfort, kindness, and a soft place to land for good. A couch to lean against. A yard to explore. A family to call her own. Gracie has given a lifetime of love. Now she is ready for her forever home. Gracie is fully vetted, up to date on vaccinations, heart worm negative and on year-round heart prevention, She is spayed and micro-chipped as well.
