About Sophia

Click apply to start the adoption process. Meet Sophia, an irresistibly adorable Whippet and Black Labrador Retriever mix puppy with a petite, dainty structure and a uniquely sweet face. At about four months old and weighing 16 lbs, Sophia has plenty of energy, is highly intelligent, and displays a playful, alert spirit that shines through in everything she does. Rescued from an overcrowded shelter in Kentucky, Sophia quickly embraced her new safe surroundings and greets each day with enthusiasm and joy. Sociable and outgoing, Sophia thrives around other dogs—especially fellow playful pups—though her high energy may be a bit much for older or more reserved canine or human companions. She is looking for a family prepared to channel an energetic puppy’s zest for life and invest time in training and enriching her experiences. A fenced yard and a younger or middle-aged canine friend would truly help her flourish, and her sister Sara can be adopted with her for double the fun. Currently crate-trained and progressing well with house manners, Sophia is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and receives heartworm preventative. She’s also microchipped, and her spay is included in the adoption fee. Born November 24, 2022, Sophia is a fun and spirited Sagittarius—a sign known for enthusiasm and a love of adventure!
