CHECK BACK TO SEE LIVVY AFTER HER SPA DAY! Livvy was pulled from an upstate shelter where she was taken in as a stray, flea infested, malnourished, cracked teeth, feet crusted in urine and other "stuff", and having suffered temporary disorientation and blindness from hepatic encephalopathy (liver issues.) We met her angel transporter and took her immediately to our vet who is running a barrage of tests to diagnose and determine a course of action. Through it all, Livvy is being a trooper and is trusting of humans trying to help. She is a Yorkie, Shih Tzu, Boston (?) mix, currently 7 lbs, and in good spirits. We think she is 1.5-2 yrs old. She loves being held and rides well in a car. Intake was Feb. 17th, so we will update this post as we find out more about her. WE ONLY ADOPT WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs. If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required, which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. ADOPTION FEE of $ covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and treatment if needed, and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap, so thank you for understanding and helping us save as many as possible. We only do adoptions on Saturday, and not all animals are able to attend. If you would like to see a specific animal, please let us know via email and we will try to accommodate. However, we cannot guarantee the animal will be at the event without an approved application.
