Conan came back to LCAR after his owner adopted him from us as a youngster. He is now 10+ years old and understandably a bit confused and scared after the loss of his owner who passed recently. Conan is a Heinz 57, probably with some min pin in there somewhere. He is currently 19 lbs of sweetness on some fairly long legs. He loves being carried and rides well in a car. He walks well on a leash, is crate-trained and potty-trained. He is ok around dogs and doesn't seem too interested in cats. Because he is shy and frightened, Conan would prefer a quieter home with no small children. He prefers to sleep in bed with his person and would make a loyal companion. WE ONLY ADOPT WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs. If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required, which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. ADOPTION FEE of $310 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and treatment if needed, and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap, so thank you for understanding and helping us save as many as possible. We only do adoptions on Saturday, and not all animals are able to attend. If you would like to see a specific animal, please let us know via email and we will try to accommodate. However, we cannot guarantee the animal will be at the event without an approved application.
