About Millie
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Meet Millie! Sometimes life throws challenges at little dogs, and Millie's story is all too common: purchased for her fluffy, non-shedding appeal, she was never groomed or socialized, and sadly ended up in the shelter. This under-a-year-old girl can be nervous at first, but with gentle care and time, she blossoms into a happy, playful puppy. Her look is a delightful mix—possibly schnoodle or havapoo—though her schnauzer nose steals the show! Weighing about 16 pounds full grown, Millie is spayed and current on her vaccinations. Having been shaved due to severe matting, Millie found the process stressful. She’ll need patience and practice to get more comfortable with grooming and being handled. Sleepy time meds may help during future grooming sessions, and positive brushing experiences will help her confidence. Millie tolerates other dogs but prefers some space and would rather eat by herself—she's still figuring out her social cues and enjoying playful moments as she learns to be a regular puppy. The perfect home for Millie is one with adults who are dedicated to ongoing positive socialization, commit to her for life, and understand her quirks. She resides in foster care in Northern NJ, and all communications regarding her adoption are handled via email. Millie can't wait to meet her forever family who will love her for better or worse. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!

Questions about Millie
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Miniature Schnauzer/Havanese mixes like schnoodles or havapoos are best suited for indoor living with their family and should have a comfortable, safe environment. They thrive in homes where they receive plenty of companionship and are not left alone for long periods.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
These small breeds do well with a modest outdoor space such as a secure yard, but can also adapt well to apartment living as long as they are given regular walks and playtime.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Both Miniature Schnauzers and Havanese are generally gentle and can be good with children if properly socialized from a young age. Supervision is always recommended, especially for playful or shy puppies.
