Willow is a 5 year old, 8 lb, parti-colored Schnauzer mix who came into rescue because she wasn’t enthralled with the toddler in her home. We have found nothing but sweetness with this little princess. Everyone she meets – her foster home, on her walks, at the vet – they are totally enamored with her! She loves to play with her toys and likes her foster "brother", but another dog in the home isn't necessary, as long as she has some playtime with others. Willow has some medical issues that needed to be addressed when she came into rescue. She has a condition where her liver doesn’t function as well as it should. But after extensive tests, her Vet determined that it doesn’t affect her life or her delightful personality. She will need periodic bloodwork and is on special low-protein food. She also has a sensitive tummy and can have occasional bouts of IBS-type symptoms, but they seem to be controlled if her food regiment is adhered to. We are looking for a home with a fenced yard and someone that works remotely because Willow needs to go potty frequently and that would be the easiest for her and her new home. But she LOVES her walks and greets humans and dogs with enthusiasm! Prior to placement, all dogs are spayed/neutered, brought up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, dewormed, and microchipped. Dogs also receive a dental cleaning, if needed, and are bathed/groomed before adoption.
