About Nova

Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Nova is a loving and affectionate Decker Rat Terrier with a sweet, gentle personality who thrives when she’s close to her people. At five years old, she’s still playful and curious, never one to spend hours lounging on the couch. Nova enjoys the company of both adults and children, especially those who are willing to play fetch or tug with her collection of plush squeaky toys. She’s quick to offer kisses and loves being a cuddle companion, making every moment with her full of warmth and joy. Having spent most of her life in an outdoor kennel, Nova is adapting to the comforts of indoor living. She’s mostly potty trained when given the opportunity to go outside and appreciates encouragement from her human. Her foster family is working on crate training, and Nova feels most secure when she can see her loved ones nearby. She’s happiest in a home where people are around and not away for long hours. Nova gets along well with other dogs after slow introductions, and she currently lives harmoniously with children ages 6-12 in her foster home. However, she is not suited for a household with cats. Nova is ideal for a family looking for a loyal companion who will cherish their presence and return it with endless affection. She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and she is eagerly awaiting her forever family at Saving Great Animals WA. Click apply to start the adoption process.
