Chopper came to us from and another rescue organization that was not able to give Chopper the space and comfort that we are lucky to have. He is about 5 years old and a very sweet boy! He is making friends with his roommate Reid and is enjoying the comfort of his new room! He would be a wonderful kitty for a family looking for a calm and sweet cat that will keep you company while watching TV, doing homework or working from home. Chopper is marked as "special needs" because he tested positive for the feline leukemia virus. This does NOT impact his lovingness, playfulness or adoptability, as you can see he is handsome and healthy! However, he should go to a home with either no other cats or a home with other FeLV positive cats. He must also be an indoor-only cat to avoid spreading the virus to outdoor cats. FeLV does not infect dogs, humans or other species, only cats. There is a lot of information on the internet about FeLV, but not all of it is accurate or up to date.
