Goodall, or Goody for short, was trapped at a local cat colony and brought to a clinic for trap-neuter-release (TNR). While in his trap, he showed us that he was very friendly and absolutely did not want to go back to live on the streets. So, since we has some space... and we pledged to help as many community kitties as possible, Goody came back to the Animal Refuge Center with us! His timely rescue bestowed him with the name "Goodall" in honor of Jane Goodall. He absolutely loves people (and the camera!), he wants all the love and attention! He is playful and sweet! He likes to spend the day roaming around ARC and supervising his human staff. He loves to be involved in all the activities, greeting people as they come in, ensuring tasks are completed properly, and of course ensuring all snacks are tasty! He has to be put up at night and spends the night with his colony buddy, Jane. We don't trust him to free-roam at night because he follows us down our driveway as we leave for the night. We cannot risk him following for too long, getting hit by a car or hurt by a predator. He would do great as an indoor kitty, he just wants to be with his humans... Velcro kitty anyone??? He would absolutely do great as an only kitty, but if you have other cats or a dog, we have a "foster to adopt" program that would provide the opportunity to see how he does with resident pets, without committing to an adoption right away.
