About Raquel Money Heist

What are you waiting for? Apply today! Meet Raquel, a member of the star-studded Money Heist Litter, currently being lovingly cared for in Guerrero, Mexico. Along with her seven siblings, Raquel was rescued from a challenging start to life near a busy street, where her devoted mama, Lisbon, was nourished by a compassionate local until Surfers for Strays could bring the family to safety. Now safe at the shelter, Raquel is learning what it means to be cared for and surrounded by kindness. Raquel started out timid and cautious, but day by day she grows braver, especially with the support of patient introductions and gentle encouragement. She takes her time getting comfortable and appreciates slow transitions in new situations. Once she feels safe, Raquel’s tail becomes a non-stop wagging machine and she beams with playful energy. She enjoys energetic playtime followed by cozy, quiet self-care—her favorite way to relax is sunbathing on her back with her paws in the air. Other dogs are her greatest source of confidence and joy, making her an ideal companion for families with an existing pup to help show her the ropes. Raquel enjoys wrestling and chasing games with her furry friends, often preferring lively play with dogs over solo time with toys. While still working on trusting people with close contact due to a past facial infection, Raquel adores belly rubs from those she’s bonded with—it’s her ultimate sign of trust. She’s smart, food-motivated, and already familiar with sit and stay. With a gentle, consistent person, she’ll keep learning quickly. Walks and new experiences can be overwhelming at first, but with patience and positive reinforcement, she will continue to blossom. Raquel also finds comfort in her crate, which she’s happy to enter and enjoy as her personal den. If you’re looking for a loyal friend who needs a little time to come out of her shell but rewards patience with a lifetime of devotion, Raquel could be the perfect match. She’s searching for a loving family who understands nervous dogs and will give her the space to grow in confidence. Once Raquel chooses you, she’s yours forever—the wait will be more than worth it. Fun fact: With her birthday on January 17, Raquel is a Capricorn, which means she has a steady and determined nature—perfect for gradually blooming into her best self!
