Currently based in Troncones, Mexico, Otis has covered a lot of ground already. Abandoned on the beach as a pup with a broken leg, he managed to heal with the help of kind strangers, bounced through a few makeshift homes, and even survived a year on his own before a local rescuer took him in. At about 2 years old, Otis is fully healed and ready to move on from his past. He thrives with active people who can keep up with his energy—he loves running, playing, and swimming. Otis is social, friendly with other dogs and people, but can be nervous around raised voices or unfamiliar hands, likely a holdover from rougher times. He isn’t the best fit for homes with cats and could use some leash training. With patience, time, and affection, Otis will stick close and return loyalty tenfold.
