About Paris

Paris, a striking grey tabby, came to the rescue with her mother after surviving a tough hoarding environment. Since landing at Second Chance, she’s gradually opened up and is now the longest-standing resident since November 2023. Paris lights up around toys—especially anything involving a wand, the Cat Dancer, or balls she can bat and chase. She’s endlessly playful if you have the time. Any open-walled spiral tunnel becomes her own personal play zone. When it comes to affection, Paris has her own pace. Head pets are her favorite, and she’ll signal her interest by tipping her head just so. She likes perching on a table to soak up attention and will happily lean into gentle brushing, just don’t touch her belly. Despite her rough background, Paris is easy-going and adapts well to calm, non-aggressive cats. House trained and content with dry food, she keeps her distance if threatened—never lashing out. Paris would thrive with someone patient who’ll give her time to settle in and provide plenty of play. She does well in quiet homes and would benefit from a small, secure space at first. Fostering with intent to adopt is an option. Paris is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She’s waiting in Grand Rapids, MI, hoping someone nearby will give her the peaceful, playful life she deserves. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
