About Romano
Romano is a striking brown and gold tabby with bold ringed markings on his tail. His early life was rough: he and many others ended up fending for themselves outdoors when their elderly owner died. The surviving group was trapped and rescued. Romano is the last of his group searching for a home. He’s making progress with people. Though shy at first, Romano relaxes when approached gently, especially if you catch him when he’s sleepy. He sports a 'grumpy cat' look, but that’s just his face—he's not actually grumpy. Slow pets and patience go a long way with him. Once he trusts you, play is the quickest route to his heart. He loves chasing springs and batting balls around. With time and regular play, Romano will warm up and bond. He needs a quiet, predictable home—ideally with a single person or couple. He gets along well with other cats and might do best with a feline companion for confidence and play. Romano is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. He was born on February 1, 2023, making him an Aquarius, which means he may keep you guessing but will always surprise you in good ways. Local adopters only—he’s in Grand Rapids, MI and can be adopted within an hour radius. Your patience could give Romano the fresh start he deserves. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
