Missy has come a long way. After being trapped alongside her feline friend Mel and brought to Safe Haven over three years ago, she was understandably scared and unsure of people. But with time, patience, and the gentle care of dedicated volunteers, Missy has blossomed. She’s now learning to trust — allowing pets, brushes and even enjoying attention from visitors she’s grown comfortable with. Her progress has been slow and steady, but incredibly inspiring. Missy thrives with people who give her the patience and space she needs to feel safe and secure. While her companion Mel is still on his journey toward confidence, Missy is ready to take the next step into a forever home. She’d do best in a calm, quiet environment without young children. A home with a relaxed, friendly cat could be a great match — and ideally, Missy and Mel could be adopted together.
