About Juanita
Lets make it official, apply to adopt! One of the greatest joys in shelter life is witnessing the transformation of cats as they adjust, settle, and blossom in the care of our volunteers. Many arrive nervous and unsure, but with time, patience, and compassion, they begin to show their true personalities. Juanita is a perfect example of this journey. When she first came to Safe Haven Humane Society as a stray, she was timid, hissing and anxious about her new surroundings. At two and a half years old, she's what we lovingly call a "project cat," making steady, heartwarming progress each week. Juanita isn't ready to be a lap cat just yet, but small successes—like lounging in the open on her cozy cat bed—signal her growing confidence and trust. Her charming black and white tuxedo markings frame what is considered the second cutest smile in the entire shelter. Juanita has a special spark, and with the love of a patient, cat-experienced adopter, she is sure to continue blossoming into the wonderful companion she's meant to be. If you’re seeking a deeply rewarding experience and have the patience to help a shy cat blossom, Juanita may just be the perfect fit for you. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
