About Chop

Meet Chop, a young pup who got his second chance in Philadelphia, PA. Chop’s early days were rough—he was nearly euthanized on his first birthday, but Philly Rescue Angels and a dedicated foster family stepped in. In just eight weeks, Chop went from a skittish, uncertain dog to a goofy, affectionate companion. He no longer barks at strangers or dreads car rides; now he greets jingling keys with a wagging tail and confidently strolls the neighborhood (unless a squirrel gets his attention). Chop is fully housebroken, food-motivated, and quick to pick up new commands, though he’s still mastering leash manners. He thrives in dog playgroups and is always ready for a spirited game of fetch or tug-of-war, plus his nightly zoomies are a sight to behold. An adopter with experience raising active young dogs, ideally with a fenced yard, would be best for Chop. While he hasn't lived with children, on walks he consistently does great seeing them. DNA testing revealed Chop is an incredible mix: Pit Bull, German Shepherd, Chihuahua, Husky, Plott Hound, and more—a true original. His fosters adore him, but they believe his forever home is out there somewhere. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
