Meet Breezy! This is the sweetest momma dog ever who had been forced to mother litter after litter on the streets or north tulsa, alone. Lucky for her, a sweet woman took notice to her and found her babies living under a shed just in time to spare their lives from the severe worm load they were battling. Although momma Breezy did everything in her power to keep them safe and healthy, this was something that desperately needed human intervention to accomplish. Breezys babies all left her side at 8 weeks old to go to a rescue - but despite our posts to find her a foster, we had been unsuccessful probably because she's a pittie. I am all for rescuing the momma dogs and the thought of her panicked seeking her children who had been rescued had my heart bleeding for her, so we took her in to have her spayed so she doesn't need to endure this any longer. Unfortunately, she is heartworm positive also, so releasing her after spay isn't something I'm willing to do. Breezy is the sweetest most affectionate little girl. She thinks she's a lap dog, and will crawl into your lap to give you all the kisses. She is shy at first but she warms up quick. She has been quiet, respectful, and the best guest despite her loud neighbors barking all day long. Breezy wants to retire and live the good life and she hopes that someone will spare their couch or share their bed with her instead. She is happy to have a space of her own, but a family to go with it would be even better!
