About Hugo
Meet Hugo, a smart and playful young Carolina Dog mix who has spent most of his life living in an apartment but is ready for something more. He's active, loves fetch and tug, and thrives on learning new tricks. Hugo is well-trained and intelligent, but he starts out reserved with new people and other dogs. He warms up once he gets to know you and shines brightest as the only dog in the home or with a much older, calm companion—puppies and lots of activity aren't his style. He's not suited for the hustle of city living or homes with younger children; calm teens or an adult-only space will let him relax. Hugo will do best with someone dog-savvy, ready to give him plenty of playtime and a suburban yard to enjoy. He is house trained but could use a refresher in his new place. Hugo was born August 11, which makes him a Leo—no surprise, given his playful and bold side. He’s looking for the right person to settle in with for good. Let’s make it official, apply to adopt!
