Meet MJ! This gentle girl found herself homeless when her owner walked away, leaving her and two children behind. In a quick scramble to manage their crisis, the family could not provide MJ with a new home. Thankfully, a compassionate animal lover stepped in to help, transporting MJ from Roanoke to her foster home. Currently in Arlington, VA, MJ is getting all the love and care she so richly deserves. Initially overfed and under-exercised, MJ is now on a wellness journey with her foster mom, Kim. With regular walks and a healthier diet, she is shedding those extra pounds. Kim describes MJ as incredibly sweet and affectionate, always eager to make new friends. She’s smart, knows several commands, and is well-behaved at home. MJ is gentle when taking treats and has a knack for showing her feelings, often wanting to be close to her humans. She loves sleeping beside you and is greatly enjoying her walks. Progress is evident as she learns to walk nicely on a leash. MJ gets along well with children, cats, and dogs, making her a wonderful companion for any family.
