About Nigel

Nigel has quickly become a volunteer favorite at Friends of Homeless Animals. DNA results show that he's an interesting blendโ€”think German shepherd, Labrador retriever, beagle, chow chow, Catahoula, and more all rolled into a gray and brindle, medium-sized package. Nearly a decade old, Nigel moves with a calm confidence and reliably greets his people with an enthusiastic bounce, always ready for whatever comes next. Walks are Nigel's specialty; he keeps pace without pulling unless, of course, a cat happens to cross his path. While house trained and easy to handle, Nigel's social skills with other dogs are a bit out of practice, so he'll need to be the only animal in the home. Kids aren't his scene either. An experienced owner and a quiet adult home, ideally with some space to stretch his legs, will suit him best. Fun fact: Nigel is a Cancer, so expect plenty of emotional loyalty and a love of cozy routines. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
