About Kiara
Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started. Meet Kiara, a sweet and curious Husky mix who is truly happiest when exploring new scents or romping through playgroups with other friendly dogs. Kiara arrived at Friends of Homeless Animals with her bonded sister, Kita, and these two bring out the best in each other—they’d thrive in a forever home together. Kiara is the more outgoing sibling, always eager for high-value treats (cheese is her favorite!) and ready to warm up with gentle patience and kindness from her people. While initially shy, Kiara quickly becomes affectionate and playful once she feels safe. She enjoys quiet walks, sniffy adventures, and steady routines that help her build confidence. Kiara would be happiest in a calm environment with gentle caretakers, and since she’s already such a social butterfly with other dogs, having more canine friends around would suit her well. However, due to her high prey drive, she should not be in a home with cats or small animals. Kids 10 and older who understand the needs of shy dogs have done well with her in the past. Kiara is still learning her commands but is very treat-motivated and tidy by nature, adjusting well to routines. She finds comfort in her sister’s company and isn’t happy when they’re separated, so it’s important that they find a home together. If you are ready to offer lots of love, patience, and a relaxing space for two deserving pups, Kiara and Kita just might be your perfect pair! They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
