About Logan
Logan is a 3-year-old German Shepherd/Husky mix with a medium black coat, and heās experienced his share of ups and downs. He arrived at the county shelter scared and completely shut downātoo afraid to even walk on a leash. After some patient handling, Logan has started warming up and showing his real self in a foster home. Since returning to boarding, heās at risk of losing the progress he made and urgently needs a new foster who can give him continued support and love. In a home, Logan lets his playful and affectionate personality shine. He happily plops down with other dogs and tends to stick close to his people, sometimes forgetting about personal space with his full-body hugs and gentle attention-seeking paws. Logan is energetic and thrives with regular play, runs, and engagement. Heās still polishing his mannersācounter surfing, leash pulling, and marking are works in progressābut he learns quickly when guided consistently with treats and redirection. He does well in a crate, enjoys both big and small canine friends, and just wants to be part of the action. Logan needs an active home, ideally one with other playful dogs or folks who value his enthusiasm and affection. Homes with older, dog-savvy kids are best since Logan still has some uncoordinated āhappy feet.ā Not tested with cats. Car rides make him nervous at first, but he settles in quietly once inside. Logan is looking for someone who will enjoy his big personality along with his big heart and energy. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
