About Fenris
Fenris landed with us after struggling in the crowded shelter. Classic husky personality shines through in everything he does—he’s got loads of energy, a cheerful playfulness, and a need for steady activity. Once out of the kennel and into foster, his friendly, silly nature emerged. Fenris is always ready for a game of fetch or a long walk, but he’ll never turn down a belly rub or a cuddle either. He gets along easily with other dogs, especially those who like rough-and-tumble play. Fenris learns quickly from his canine buddies, but he can be a bit exuberant at first. He’s house trained if you have a doggy door, but expect some accidents without one. Puppy-like habits still show up—counter surfing, chewing the wrong things, and jumping on people. He takes well to gentle correction, though, and with patience and consistency, those habits will improve. Separation anxiety and a dislike of crating mean Fenris needs a home where someone isn’t gone for long hours. Because of his tendency to be mouthy and bouncy, children should be 7 or older. He’d thrive as a solo dog or with a larger, playful companion, but cats aren’t a good match for him. Fenris will do best with an active family ready to give him a lot of attention, structure, and training. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
