Olive is a four-year-old German Shepherd Dog who recently found safety with Big Hearts for Big Breeds after being pulled from the shelter. Right now, her world is intentionally small as she settles into foster care and begins the important process of decompressing at her own pace. While Olive is understandably nervous, her sweet personality is already starting to peek through. She offers gentle tail wags, happily accepts belly rubs from the people she trusts, and is slowly discovering that she’s finally in a place where she can relax and just be a dog. Because Olive is still adjusting, we’re taking our time getting to know her. It’s too early to say how she does with children, other dogs, or other household companions, and we want to give her every opportunity to show us who she is without rushing the process. At Big Hearts for Big Breeds, we believe that some of the most rewarding transformations happen when dogs are given patience, structure, and understanding. That’s exactly what Olive is receiving as she builds confidence and learns that her future is bright. Stay tuned as we continue to watch this beautiful girl blossom.
