Sam
AvailableSam is a domestic short hair cat with a striking orange tabby coat and a medium build. This adult neutered male is up to date on core vaccinations and is house trained. Although Sam is special needs due to being FIV positive, he remains loving and affectionate in his foster home in Vine Grove, KY.
About Sam
Sam's story is a tough one—he was found starving and unable to stand, but he refused to give up. After emergency care and weeks of steady support from a foster family, Sam worked his way back from the brink. These days, he's all about attention and affection and is thriving at the rescue. Sam absolutely loves people and can soak up any affection visitors want to offer. While he’s been marked as special needs due to FIV, this doesn’t get in his way at all. FIV is only communicable to other cats through deep bites or mating, but Sam is neutered and not the fighting type. He can happily be your solo companion, live with other FIV+ cats, or even with FIV-negative cats as long as everyone gets along. If you’re searching for a laid-back feline with a strong spirit and a sweet temperament, Sam could be the right addition to your home. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
