About Layla
Layla is a 12.5-year-old Chihuahua mix, weighing in at 14 pounds, who is looking for her forever home. After spending years in a crate with minimal human interaction, she has started to blossom in foster care and needs a loving family to continue her journey. Patience is key with her; she prefers to set her own pace. This sweet girl is calm, quiet, and incredibly affectionate. She enjoys the simple pleasures of being outside, often heading to the door when she needs to go potty or just wants to bask in the sun. Layla loves snuggling up next to her humans on the couch, often resting her head on their shoulder. While she gets along well with other small dogs, she can be sensitive about being picked up. Her foster parents have found that wrapping her in a blanket helps her feel safe when being lifted. Layla is house and pee pad trained, fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and on monthly heartworm prevention. Her adoption donation is $250. To adopt, please submit an application rather than just expressing interest via email. Your dogs and cats must be spayed or neutered, and a home visit will be required. Layla can only be adopted in NC/SC, VA, TN, AL, MD, and GA. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
