About Rosie

Meet Rosie, a sweet thirteen-year-old female Chihuahua who's looking for a loving home. Rescued from difficult conditions, Rosie is around 4.5 pounds and still needs to gain a bit more weight. She adores her cozy donut bed and loves to spend her days basking in the sun while keeping a watchful eye on her surroundings. Rosie enjoys her quiet life but can be playful, occasionally inviting her foster to chase her back to her bed for some affectionate cuddles and kisses. In her foster home, Rosie gets along well with the other dogs, although she enjoys just sniffing to say hello rather than engaging in play. Not one to demand attention, she appreciates pets when given directly, often while she nestles in her bed or crate. Rosie would thrive in a calm home environment without young children, as she hasn’t been around cats yet. Leash walks aren’t her favorite activity; she prefers to explore a fenced yard at her own pace, where she loves to sniff around and soak up the sun. Rosie is mostly potty trained, adapting well to a routine but can have the occasional accident. Some minor adjustments in her environment helped with this—removing rugs cleared up her confusion about where to go. Fully vetted and up to date on vaccinations, Rosie is spayed and healthy. Her appetite can be a bit inconsistent, but she certainly knows how to express when she’s hungry! Rosie’s adoption donation is $250. Ready to give this sweet girl the home she deserves? Apply today!
