About Falkor
Falkor is a lively German Shepherd and Australian Cattle Dog mix, weighing 53.1 lbs at intake. He arrived at the shelter because his previous family felt they couldn’t keep up with his energetic nature. This young dog thrives on mental and physical challenges, so a home that can provide regular activities will be essential. Falkor is known to be affectionate, albeit a bit shy initially. He enjoys playing gently, but can be a bit rough if play gets high-energy. Housebroken and a good passenger in the car, he requires a leash outside due to his tendency to run. Although he can be vocal, he loves being around other dogs and has coexisted well with cats. Falkor is also comfortable with children and does alright around babies with supervision. He's been exposed to livestock but can get anxious around them. While he doesn’t have experience with pocket pets, he’s adaptable in most environments. Falkor has a minor health issue with a tracheal tear, and it's recommended to have follow-up care at the vet. Until then, he’s walked with a harness. If you believe Falkor would fit into your life, don’t hesitate to reach out to the shelter!
