One is a five-year-old Husky/Pointer mix weighing in at just over 50 pounds. He came to the shelter because his previous owner faced medical issues and couldn’t give these hardworking dogs the environment they deserve. Used to life as a sled dog, One lives for being outside and enjoys a job to do—skijoring, hiking, or join a rec mushing team would suit him. He’s social with other dogs and a strong puller, with a solid grasp on mushing commands. One grew up living outside in a dog house, but did enjoy coming inside when the weather turned brutal. He isn’t house trained, so shifting to indoor life will require patience and time with kennel and potty training, as well as learning basic commands.
